Cisco rises to #1 rank on the U.S. SD-WAN Technology LEADERBOARD; Challenge Tier added for SD-WAN Technology Suppliers
BOSTON, MA, JUNE 17, 2025 – Vertical Systems Group announces that five companies qualify for a rank on the 2024 U.S. SD-WAN Technology LEADERBOARD as follows (in rank order based on site share): Cisco, Broadcom, Fortinet, HPE Aruba Networking and Versa Networks. This benchmark quantifies U.S. market presence across the technology suppliers empowering Carrier Managed SD-WAN solutions.
Each of these Technology Suppliers has 5% or more of the total number of U.S. Carrier Managed SD-WAN customer sites installed and billable as of December 31, 2024. For this analysis a site is counted once per supplier, regardless of the amount of SD-WAN equipment installed at the customer location.
Based on SD-WAN market expansion, a Challenge Tier has been added for the first time to track Technology Suppliers with between one percent (1%) and five percent (5%) share of U.S. Carrier Managed SD-WAN sites. Challenge Tier citations for 2024 have been attained by three Technology Suppliers as follows (in alphabetical order): Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions (Cradlepoint), Nuage Networks from Nokia and Palo Alto Networks.
