BOSTON, MA, NOVEMBER 8, 2011 —
Ethernet access or “E-Access” services connect 36% of high speed Dedicated IP/MPLS VPN sites in the U.S., according to new research from Vertical Systems Group. Market demand for access connectivity at 2 Mbps and above is projected to drive revenue growth for Dedicated IP/MPLS VPNs through 2015. This latest analysis is based on research covering VPN speed segments ranging up to 100 Mbps and above.
“E-Access to IP/MPLS VPN services are gaining momentum as business customers migrate to higher bandwidth connectivity solutions,” said Erin Dunne, director of research services at Vertical Systems Group. “Availability is a key purchase decision factor, and notably this capability is supported by every provider with a position on Vertical’s Mid-2011 Global Provider Ethernet Leaderboard, and six of the nine providers on the Mid-2011 U.S. Ethernet Leaderboard.”
Vertical’s syndicated research on the Dedicated IP VPN market covers revenue and site projections through 2015 for seven speed segments. Detailed statistics and analysis are available exclusively to ENS (Emerging Network Services) Research Program subscribers.
